Competition Categories

The competition features two distinct categories tailored to different stages of project development, ensuring appropriate support for both early-stage ideas and projects with initial traction:

Category 1: Project Ideas

For entrepreneurs at the conceptual stage who have innovative industrial project ideas but have not yet taken implementation steps. This category welcomes visionary concepts that address market needs through industrial solutions.

Typical Participants: Aspiring entrepreneurs with industrial project concepts, researchers with commercializable ideas, professionals seeking to launch industrial ventures, innovators in early ideation phase

Category 2: Beginner Projects

For projects launched within the past two years that have made concrete progress such as securing initial funding, selecting a location, or initiating legal registration procedures. This category supports early-stage ventures moving from concept to reality.

Typical Participants: Early-stage industrial startups, entrepreneurs with pilot operations, projects with initial funding secured, ventures in pre-launch or early launch phase

Both categories welcome: Individual entrepreneurs and teams with industrial project ideas or service concepts for industrial sectors. Projects must demonstrate potential to employ a minimum of 5 workers upon implementation.

Eligibility & Requirements

The competition is open to Egyptian nationals with innovative industrial project ideas or early-stage industrial ventures:

Participant Eligibility

  • Egyptian Nationality: All participants must be Egyptian nationals
  • Entrepreneurs: Individuals with industrial project ideas or service concepts for industrial sectors
  • Teams Welcome: Both individual entrepreneurs and teams are encouraged to apply
  • Project Stage: Conceptual ideas (Category 1) or projects launched within two years (Category 2)

Project Requirements

  • Employment Impact: Projects must employ a minimum of 5 workers upon implementation
  • Industrial Focus: Projects must be in industrial sectors (woodworking, metal fabrication, textiles, pharmaceuticals, electronics, or waste recycling)
  • Business Viability: Clear business model and path to commercialization

Competition Phases

The competition follows a structured multi-phase approach to ensure participants receive comprehensive support throughout their journey:

Application & Screening

Entrepreneurs submit their business plan proposals detailing their industrial project concept, market opportunity, competitive advantages, implementation plan, and team capabilities. A rigorous evaluation process selects the most promising projects to advance to the training phase.

Selected participants receive comprehensive training from specialized entrepreneurship centers covering business plan development, financial modeling, market analysis, entrepreneurship fundamentals, and communication skills.
