Hooks, AVP, Georgetown University Hospital, Safety Management, Environmental Quality, where her primary objective is to insert safety principals into quality corporate practices.Emma Hooks is Assistant Vice President at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC, Safety Management, Environmental Quality function, responsible for Clinical Engineering, Protective Services, Radiation Safety and Environmental Health and Safety Departments.

Formerly Emma Hooks was with NorthShore University Health System Evanston, IL as Director, Environmental Health and Safety where she guided the development of corporate wide structured safety programs. Emma also initiated the integrated Culture of Safety tool created by Stanford University, California to enhance the Patient Safety Management Program effectiveness.

Emma started her career by serving in the U.S. Military Service and then transitioned to public service with the State of New Jersey Department of Labor, Office of Public Employees Safety (PEOSHA).

Emma acted as a consultant for the Sthrathclyde University, Glasgow Scotland and as a delegate representative for the healthcare industry to Berlin, Germany in 1994. Emma was retained by Zurich Insurance, Zurich, Switzerland where she traveled throughout Switzerland, speaking to various universities and hospitals. In addition Emma has had numerous consulting and speaking engagements throughout the United States.
