Associate Professor Dr. Amal Amin had got her Ph.D according to DAAD- PhD scholarship at Ulm University (Germany)- Cairo University (Egypt). Her Ph.D was on polymer technology & catalysis.
Her research interests concentrate on nanotechnology especially synthesis of nano-structured polymeric materials, nanocomposites and their applications in various industrial applications. She has several postgraduate students are working in nanostructured polymers and their applications.
She is a member of several scientific communities. She is the leader of the nanostructured polymers research team at the centre of excellence- NRC. In 2008, she got Post-doctor fellowship at Leibniz-Institute- IPF- Dresden- Germany. In 2009, she was awarded Post-doctor fellowship at University of Akron- Ohio- USA. She is the founder and president of the Egyptian society for advanced materials and nanotechnology (www.esamnt-egypt.org).
She actively contributed in several international conferences on nanotechnology and other scientific global issues where she has recently represented Egypt in the World Economic Forum- Summer Davos in China. She is supervising several international funded projects. Dr. Amal organized and headed several events on nanotechnology and its applications. She has several peer reviewed articles in reputable journals on nanostructured polymers and their applications.
