Dr Ebtesam is a Assistant Doctor of Parasitological, she had The degree of Doctor of Philosophy from University of Keele on the 25th of September, 2002 (1422H). At the time being she is an Assistant of Doctor at Zoology department Collage of Sciences King Saud University 2004 (1425H), in addition an Assistant Head of Zoology department Collage of Sciences King Saud University 2005 (1426).
Her research interests are in the field of Parasite-Insect Interactions and mosquito stages of the malaria parasite and currently include: the involvement of apoptosis in malaria / mosquito interactions. She also, has used her expertise to identify and describe several novels genetic of Leishmania and toxoplasma.
She is a member in the National Council for Women in Science and Technology and a member in t in the British Society for Parasitology, Society for Experimental Biology, also a Member of the International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (ICCIDD) 2007, and a member in the institute of king Abdullah for nanotechnology.
She had some of scientific publications especially in Science: (2002). Complete development of mosquito phases of the malaria parasite in vitro. Science, 295, 677-679. She has participated in many national and international conferences. She is a supervisor for graduate students of MSc.
