He is Dean of Facility of Biotechnology Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) since 2005. Prof. Abdelsalam was Chairman of Genetics in Ain Shams University for 11 years.
He established EMRU (Environmental Mutagenesis Research Unit) in 1990 and was the first director for 5 years.
