"Ahlan wa Sahlan" to the Web Portal of 'The Arab Science and Technology Foundation', through this gate we aim to provide a forum for Arab scientists and technologists and to network Arab scientists worldwide, to make available to the public all the latest developments and debates in the scientific arena, so as to address the information needs of the Arab scientific community at large.

Being the first organization to bring together scientists from inside and outside the Arab world with the aim of utilizing local and expatriate expertise in service to the Arab world and humanity in general, ASTF is, in fact, responding to the natural human feeling of wanting to be close to one's roots, and fulfills the most cherished wish of expatriate scientists to compensate their motherland for part of the loss incurred by the "brain drain".

Moreover, this Web Portal seeks not only to strengthen the links between universities , research centers, scientists, professionals and/or students inside and outside the Arab world through joint projects, agreements and programs, but also to attract businesses, companies and individuals capable of allocating endowments to fund research and development posts in those fields that are vital for the Arab countries.
