Dr. Abdalla Alnajjar,  the president of Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) declared some decisions in the last Astf borders meeting, its 12th period, that aim to develop the scientific researches, technological innovations, business entrepreneurs programs and policies in the Arab countries.  These decisions confirmed on the ideal employment of youth energies, also strengthen the communication between the scientific community elements through setup scientific conferences, and symposiums that discussed future affairs, like: financial affairs, administrative affairs, legal affairs, the electronic support, the media and studies, also evaluate ASTF’s 2011 activity and suggest more programs to be execute in 2012.

ASTF’s activity on the coming stage will focus on increase the awareness of Arab public and the decision makers’ opinions about the important roles that are played by the scientifical and technological researches and development to build knowledgeable community and to develop sustainable development. This step will be execute through publishing electronic newsletter by ASTF, then publish new  news portal for the latest news in the science and technology field, that link the various sectors of science and technology and entrepreneurs in direct way with the needs of the economics of the Arab countries. It will cover the news of ten thousands organizations, including: scientific foundations, academic foundations, in additional to governmental and private sectors foundations, civil communities’ unities, and national or regional or international organizations that interested in this field.

From her side, Dr. Ghada M. Amer, ASTF vice president, confirmed that ASTF’s plan in the next stage focus on supporting the Arab scientifical and technological community, through organizing international conference gather the scientists, inventors, academics and the presenters of the private sector and governmental organizations, the Conference titled by “the scientific research outlook (SRO)”, it is plan to be hosted by Tunisia. Also ASTF prepare to setup the 8th investing technology forum in the Arab world, which will be host by Cairo. Also there are arrangements to setup the women conference for science and technology to be host is al Khartoum – Sudan.
